What is Baptism?

After acknowledging that Jesus is your Savior and choosing to follow Him, the next step in your faith is to be baptized. Baptism is declaring that you are ready to follow Jesus by being immersed in water, but it is also much more than that. Baptism is an act of faith and obedience to a request by the One you just confessed as Lord… that’s Jesus! A spiritual rebirth happens as your spirit comes back to life! Baptism is a point in time to look back to when many spiritual things take place that only God can do. Why should I be Baptized?

The main answer to this question is…The Bible tells us to!

Matthew 28:19 says:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
