Update On Hand

We are excited to announce that the new Mission on Hand new building project is complete and we are open for business! This new building houses our Tomoka Thrift Store in Unit A, the Administration Offices in Unit B, and the Food Pantry in Unit C. God is already moving and providing for our community in these spaces.
NEXT UP! Renovations to the Main Ormond Campus building start at the end of September. The part of the project will be done in 3 parts:
Part 1: Tomoka Students/Meeting Spaces
  • Half of the old Administration Offices will be transformed into new Tomoka Students space, which will double that ministry space.
  • At the same time, the other half of the Administration Offices will become new meeting rooms.
  • We anticipate this part of the renovation project to take approximately three months.
Part 2: Tomoka Kids
  • Expand the Tomoka Kids check-in area to allow us to improve security and create a more engaging environment for our children and their families.
  • We anticipate this part of the renovation project to take approximately one month.
Part 3: Worship Center
  • Expand the worship center to accommodate growth.
  • Incorporate technology upgrades that will enhance the worship experience.
  • We anticipate this part of the renovation project to take approximately one month to complete.

What is Mission on Hand?

For the last thirty-two years, God has given us a mission to reach our world. We chose our mission statement from Acts 15:19. “We exist to make it hard to go to hell from this generation.” Tomoka Christian Church has worked faithfully day by day to make this vision come alive both locally and globally. In 2024, we started the greatest initiatives ever. We want to continue to set the next generation up to fulfill Tomoka’s vision in Ormond Beach, the United States and around the world. God is calling us to make this indercribable gift real to a lost and dying world.

What are the goals?

We are excited to share the vision for the Tomoka Care Center, a project that will help us better serve our community and continue to grow in ministry. Located on the northeast corner of Tomoka’s property, this new center will allow us to accomplish key goals that align with our mission to love God, love people, and make disciples. Here’s how the Tomoka Care Center and expansion plans will benefit our church and community:

  • Double the size of the Thrift Store and Food Pantry, allowing us to serve more families in need with essential resources.
  • House new administrative offices, creating more efficient operations to better support the church’s mission.
  • Expand the worship center to accommodate growth and incorporate technology upgrades that enhance the worship experience.
  • Double the space for Tomoka Students by moving the offices, giving our youth ministry the room it needs to flourish.
  • Improve security and modernization in the Tomoka Kids area, ensuring a safer and more engaging environment for our children.

Additionally, 10% of everything raised through the Mission On Hand initiative will go to North Florida Christian Camp, helping them upgrade and modernize their facilities to better serve them.
