Saying "yes" to Jesus is the most important decision in your life as it deals with your eternal life. These decisions promise the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus and promise the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-38).
How do I accept Jesus?
I realize where I truly stand with God. My disobedience to my Creator separates me from His holiness. I earn spiritual death because of my sin, choosing to seat myself where God should be in my life. The Bible tells us we all find ourselves in this place. (Romans 3:23)
I accept God’s solution to my spiritual condition, confessing Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I accept God’s amazing love for me through the death and resurrection of Jesus. I believe that the blood of Jesus takes care of my sin problem. I choose God over myself, giving Him back His rightful place in my life. (Romans 10:9-10)
I surrender myself to God’s will in obedience to His command of baptism. I am immersed in water, meeting Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection. I die to my old sinful self and rise to walk in a new life. (Romans 6:2-5)
I am forgiven of my sins and receive the Holy Spirit living in me, helping me to become more like Jesus. (Acts 2:38 & Galatians 5:22-23)
